Steve lives just outside of Sacramento, California and serves as the Executive Director. He was an All-American golfer at Stanford University from 1991-1995 and helped the Cardinal win a National Championship in 1994.
While attending Stanford, Steve was a student leader with the Athletes-In-Action ministry and was a teammate with PGA Tour players Casey Martin, Notah Begay and Tiger Woods. After graduating, Steve went on to play professional golf for two years before God led him into full-time ministry. He served as a youth pastor for two years before joining the CGF team in 2001.
He graduated from Western Theological Seminary in 2004 with a Master’s of Divinity degree, and he has helped plant two churches in the Sacramento area. Steve has been married to his wife, Jenelle, since 2000, and they have two children—Jessica (born in 2004) and Zachary (born in 2007).
