West Region – Phoenix, AZ
Jason joined the CGF staff in 2017 and resides in Scottsdale, AZ. He is originally from Oregon and is excited to serve with CGF in the West Region. After winning the U.S. Junior in 1997, Jason had the chance to play college golf at Pepperdine University where he studied Speech Communication and Religion. Collegiate golf highlights include being named an Athletic All-American, Academic All-American, and receiving the inaugural Byron Nelson Award in 2002.
During college, he was introduced to CGF and had the opportunity to attend several CGF Retreats with his teammates. Another highlight from college was when Jason got to help start a Pepperdine Athletes Bible Study on campus.
After graduating from Pepperdine in 2002, Jason played professionally for almost 15 years competing on the PGA Tour and Web.Com Tour most of that time. During that time, he played in four U.S. Opens, the British Open at St. Andrews, and finished 3rd in the L.A. Open at Riviera C.C.
While Jason certainly enjoyed his years of competition, he also deeply relished the relational elements of professional golf and the many opportunities he was given to share his faith. As his desire to impact others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ grew, he decided to join the CGF staff in 2017 and will serve throughout the West Region.
Jason married his wife, Kimberly, in 2004 and they have four children: Annie (2009), Zane (2011), Lucy Hope (2014), and baby #4 due in June 2017.
